Hansi, May 14: Drone Tech: A proposed ₹80 crore integrated drone ecosystem project, “Drone Future tech Park,” by AVPL International, will be inaugurated on May 16 at Sisai village in Haryana’s Hansi region. The project has received incentive support of ₹58.51 crore under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020.
The first phase of the project aims to develop an integrated ecosystem for drone manufacturing, component production, testing, training, research and deployment. The initiative is expected to support sectors such as agriculture, surveillance, logistics and advanced UAV technologies.
Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi will inaugurate the project. Former Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu, government officials, industry representatives and stakeholders from the drone and defence sectors are also expected to attend the event.
Alongside the inauguration, the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation will organise an orientation programme under the “500 Drone Udhami Scheme.” Under the initiative, Scheduled Caste youth will be trained as drone pilots, technicians, entrepreneurs and agri-drone service providers.
According to organisers, the project is expected to create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for more than 800 youth in Haryana through activities related to drone manufacturing, operations, training and allied sectors.
Spread across nearly 11.5 acres, the proposed Drone City ecosystem will include 23 industrial sheds for drone and drone-component companies. Facilities planned under the project include manufacturing units, testing zones, R&D labs, pilot training centres and drone assembly infrastructure.
Dr. Preet Sandhu, Founder of AVPL International, said the initiative aims to bring together manufacturers, startups, innovators and training institutions under one platform focused on indigenous drone development and future technologies.
The foundation stone of the project was laid by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on September 8, 2025.
Gurugram-based AVPL International works in drone manufacturing, skill development and future technology training and has been associated with drone training programmes and agri-drone deployment initiatives across several states.
