Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has announced the admission process for undergraduate agriculture and allied programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. The university stated that admissions for both TNAU and Annamalai University agriculture courses will be conducted through a common online application system.
Students seeking admission must apply through the official portal, TNAU UG Admissions Portal. The last date for submission of online applications is June 8.
According to the admission notification, candidates are required to register online and upload essential documents such as the Class XII mark sheet, transfer certificate, community certificate, and nativity or residence proof.
TNAU will offer admissions to 14 undergraduate programmes in agricultural sciences and technology disciplines. Meanwhile, Annamalai University will admit students to three agriculture-related programmes, including aided and self-financing BSc (Hons) Agriculture courses along with BSc (Hons) Horticulture.
The universities will prepare a rank list based on marks obtained in eligible subjects. Seat allotment will be carried out according to reservation policies and programme-wise seat availability. Shortlisted candidates will receive counselling details through SMS and email on their registered mobile numbers and email IDs.
Candidates participating in online counselling must pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 3,000 for OC, BC, BCM, and MBC categories, while SC, ST, and SCA candidates must pay Rs 1,500 through the online portal. Authorities clarified that candidates failing to pay the fee will not be allowed to participate in counselling.
During the counselling process, applicants will be allowed to rearrange their preferred courses and colleges before final submission. The final allotment will be based on the submitted preferences, merit rank, and seat availability.
Students selected for admission must pay Rs 20,000 online before appearing for certificate verification at TNAU, Coimbatore. Admission confirmation will be granted only after successful verification of original documents.
