India’s growing potential in the organic and sustainable food sector is being showcased at BIOFACH INDIA 2026, a major international exhibition bringing together organic producers, exporters, buyers, policymakers and industry stakeholders. Organised by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in collaboration with Nuernberg Messe India, the three-day event is being held from 6–8 August 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML), Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.

The exhibition serves as a prominent platform for promoting India’s certified organic products, facilitating international trade partnerships and encouraging knowledge exchange among stakeholders across the organic value chain. With participation from more than 200 exhibitors, BIOFACH INDIA 2026 highlights the country’s expanding capabilities in organic agriculture, food processing and sustainable production.

APEDA Pavilion Highlights India’s Diverse Organic Produce

A key attraction of the exhibition is the APEDA Pavilion, which features participation from more than 60 exhibitors representing exporters, women entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), startups and organic enterprises.

The pavilion showcases a wide variety of certified organic products sourced from different regions of India, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra. The diverse product range reflects India’s rich agro-climatic conditions and its growing position as a producer of quality organic commodities.

Visitors at the pavilion can explore a broad portfolio of products such as cereals, pulses, millets, spices, tea, coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, herbs, medicinal plants, oilseeds, edible oils, honey, cocoa products, natural ingredients and organic nutraceuticals.

The showcase also highlights the efforts of Indian farmers and enterprises in adopting sustainable agricultural practices while meeting global standards for certified organic production.

International Buyers Explore Indian Organic Products

To strengthen export opportunities for Indian organic products, APEDA has facilitated the participation of more than 35 international buyers from 13 overseas markets. Buyers from countries including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia and Egypt are participating in structured Buyer-Seller Meets (BSMs) with Indian exhibitors.

The interaction aims to create new business partnerships, identify sourcing opportunities and develop long-term collaborations between Indian organic enterprises and global importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains.

These engagements are expected to support Indian exporters in accessing new markets and improving their understanding of international consumer preferences and regulatory requirements.

Focus on Sustainability, Certification and Global Trade Trends

Apart from product displays and business meetings, BIOFACH INDIA 2026 includes technical conferences, interactive sessions, product demonstrations and trend showcases focusing on key aspects of the organic sector.

The sessions cover topics such as organic certification, traceability systems, sustainability practices, market access strategies, evolving consumer demand and emerging trends in global organic trade. Participants gain insights into international quality standards, export regulations and opportunities in the rapidly expanding organic food market.
