Dayanand Saraswati Birth Anniversary : प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने समाज सुधारक एवं आर्य समाज के संस्थापक महर्षि दयानंद सरस्वती की 200वीं जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में साल भर चलने वाले समारोहों का यहां रविवार को उद्घाटन किया.यहां पर पीएम मोदी ने जाकर विधि विधान से यज्ञ किया है. इस कार्यक्रम में पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि, ‘जब किसी समाज में गुलामी की हीन भावना घर कर जाती है, तो आध्यात्म और आस्था की जगह आडंबर आना स्वाभिक हो जाता है. मनुष्य के जीवन में आत्मविश्वास हीन होता है और वह आडंबर के बल पर जीने की कोशिश करता है. ऐसी स्थिति में वेदों के बोध को महर्षि ने पुनर्जीवन दिया. उन्होंने समाज को दिशा दी.’

पीएम मोदी ने कहा, ‘महर्षि ने अपने तर्कों से सिद्ध किया कि खामी भारत के धर्म और परंमपराओं में नहीं है बल्कि हम उनके वास्तविक स्वरूप को भूल गए हैं और विकृतियों से भर गए हैं.’

पीएम मोदी ने कहा, ‘आप कल्पना करिये एक ऐसे समय में जब हमारे ही वेदों के विदेशी भाषियों को विदेशी नरेटिव को गढ़ने की कोशिश की जा रही थी. उन नकली व्याख्याओं के आधार पर हमे नीचा दिखाने की, हमारे इतिहास और परंपराओं को भ्रष्ट करने के प्रयास किए गए. तब महर्षि दयानंद के ये प्रयास एक बहुत बड़ी संजीवनी के रूप में समाज में एक नई प्राण शक्ति बनकर आगे आए. महर्षि जी ने सामाजिक भेदभाव, उच-नीच, छुआछूत ऐसी ही कई विकृतियों के खिलाफ एक सशक्त अभियान चलाया.
