मुख्यमंत्री ने केंद्र से प्रदेश में मौसम वेधशालाएं स्थापित करने का आग्रह किया
मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने आज नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, अंतरिक्ष और परमाणु ऊर्जा राज्य मंत्री, डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह से भेंट की। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने राज्य में कृषि, बागवानी और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के सुदृढ़ीकरण के लिए अत्याधुनिक तकनीकें अपनाने और विज्ञान तथा प्रौद्योगिकी का समुचित उपयोग सुनिश्चित करने के लिए केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री के साथ विस्तार से विचार-विमर्श किया।मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रदेश के किसी एक राजकीय चिकित्सा महाविद्यालय में न्यूक्लियर मेडिसिन विभाग स्थापित करने पर विचार कर रही है ताकि कैंसर रोगियों को प्रदेश में ही रेडिएशन थैरेपी का उपचार प्रदान कर उनके समय और संसाधनों की बचत की जा सके। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक पद्धतियों को अपनाने पर विशेष बल दिया जाना समय की मांग है और उन्होंने इसके लिए केंद्र से तकनीकी सहायता प्रदान करने का भी अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने राज्य के बागवानी और कृषि विभाग के अधिकारियों के लिए अनुकूलन (ओरिन्टेशन) कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने के साथ ही नई तकनीकों से परिचित करवाने में सहयोग का भी आग्रह किया जिससे उन्हें नवोन्वेषी तकनीकों से भलीभांति अवगत करवाया जा सकेगा। उन्होंने नई तकनीकों की जानकारी प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से किसानों और बागवानों के लिए प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करवाने का भी आग्रह किया, जिससे किसानों और बागवानों को उनके उत्पादों की गुणवत्ता को सुधारने में सहायता मिल सकेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने ‘आरोमा मिशन’ के तहत लैवेंडर की खेती के लिए चम्बा जिला को शामिल करने और लैवेंडर के उत्पादन के लिए किसानों को तकनीकी सहायता प्रदान करने का भी अनुरोध किया।प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के प्रति प्रदेश की संवेदनशीलता के दृष्टिगत मुख्यमंत्री ने भूकम्पीय क्षेत्रों कांगड़ा और हमीरपुर में एक उच्च स्तरीय अत्याधुनिक भूकम्पीय प्रयोगशाला एवं डॉटा विश्लेषण केंद्र स्थापित करने का आग्रह किया।उन्होंने डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह को अवगत करवाया कि हिमाचल प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के प्रति अत्याधिक संवेदनशील राज्य है। ऐसे में दो जनजातीय जिलों किन्नौर और लाहौल-स्पीति में डॉपलर राडार स्थापित करने के अलावा हमीरपुर, चंबा, नालागढ़, केलांग और काजा क्षेत्रों में मौसम वेधशालाएं (वेदर ऑबजरवेटरीज) स्थापित करने के साथ ही आपदा प्रतिक्रिया, विश्लेषण और मौसम पूर्वानुमान प्रणाली को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए हमीरपुर जिला में डॉटा सेंटर स्थापित करना अति आवश्यक है। इससे न केवल बहुमूल्य जीवन को सुरक्षित किया जा सकेगा अपितु राज्य के किसानों एवं बागवानों को मौसम सम्बंधी सटीक जानकारी समय पर उपलब्ध हो सकेगी।डॉ. सिंह ने हिमालयी पारिस्थितिकी के प्रति मुख्यमंत्री की चिंता और विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी में उनकी गहरी रुचि की सराहना करते हुए उन्होंने हर संभव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया।
