Automobile Products of India Narrows FY26 Net Loss to Rs 173.42 Lakh

Automobile Products of India Limited reported a net loss of Rs 173.42 lakh for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, slightly improving from a loss of Rs 189.95 lakh in the previous fiscal year. The company announced its audited financial results following a Board meeting held on May 19, 2026.

For FY26, the company posted total income of Rs 80.80 lakh, compared to Rs 84.15 lakh in FY25. Revenue from operations remained unchanged at Rs 17 lakh, while other income declined to Rs 63.80 lakh from Rs 67.15 lakh a year earlier. Total expenses during the year stood at Rs 253.70 lakh, lower than Rs 274.46 lakh recorded in the previous financial year.

The company’s basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for FY26 stood at a loss of Rs 3.60, compared to a loss of Rs 3.94 in FY25.

In the January–March 2026 quarter, Automobile Products of India reported a net loss of Rs 23.69 lakh. Total income for the quarter came in at Rs 19.25 lakh, while total expenses stood at Rs 43.32 lakh.

The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion on the company’s financial statements. However, the auditor included an emphasis of matter regarding the preparation of accounts on a going concern basis, noting that the holding company has assured financial support for future operations.

The company also disclosed that BSE Limited had imposed fines totaling Rs 32.45 lakh during FY26 over non-compliance with minimum public shareholding norms. To address the issue, the company completed a Rights Issue in April 2026, which increased public shareholding to 34.36 percent and restored regulatory compliance.

The company’s stock has remained largely inactive in recent trading sessions, with historical returns showing no significant movement across multiple time periods.
