The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has secured the First Prize under the Rajbhasha Kirti Awards for 2025-26 in recognition of its outstanding efforts and innovative initiatives to promote the effective use of Hindi in official work. The award was presented in the category of ministries and departments having fewer than 300 personnel.
The prestigious honour was conferred during the 6th All India Official Language Conference and Hindi Diwas celebrations, organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The conference was held on September 14 and 15, 2026, at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah.
The Rajbhasha Kirti Award recognises ministries, departments and institutions that demonstrate exemplary performance in implementing the Official Language policy and encouraging the use of Hindi in administrative and official activities. The recognition of DFS highlights the department’s sustained efforts to strengthen the use of Hindi while adopting innovative approaches in its day-to-day functioning.
Representing the Department of Financial Services, Additional Secretary Hari Har Mishra received the award from Union Minister Amit Shah during the conference. The presentation marked an important recognition of the department’s initiatives aimed at expanding the use of Hindi across its official activities.
