पानी की दरों में 10 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी ने तोड़ी होटल कारोबारियो की कमर ,होटल की चाबीयां SJPNL कंपनी को सौंपने की चेतावनी
जल प्रबंधन निगम ने पानी के टैरिफ मे 10% की बड़ोतरी करने का प्रस्ताव रखा है। इस बढ़ोतरी ने शिमला में स्थित लगभग 300 होटल वकारोबारियो की कमर तोड दी है। बढ़ोतरी के बाद होटल के पानी का रेट कमर्शियल पानी के रेट से 67.5% अधिक महंगा हो गया है।हिमाचल के सभी शहरों मे होटल व्यस्यायियों से 27 रुपए प्रति किलो लीटर पानी का रेट चार्ज किया जाता है तथा कोई स्लैब सिस्टम भी नहीं लगता। वही शिमला मे 10%बड़ोतरी के बाद पानी का रेट 96.64रुपए से लेकर 177.14 रुपए प्रति किलो लीटर हो जायेगा। होटलों में पानी की खपत के हिसाब से तीन स्लैब बनाई गई है जिसमे 30किलो लीटर की खपत तक 96.64 रूपए प्रति किलो लीटर रेट चार्ज किया जाता है।इसी तरह 30 किलोलीटर से लेकर 75 किलो लीटर तक की खपत पर 128.87 रुपए प्रति किलोलीटर रेट चार्ज किया जाता है। इसी तरह 75किलो लीटर से उपर पानी की खपत पर 177.14 रुपए प्रति किलो लीटर रेट चार्ज किया जाता है जो की पहली स्लैब से 33%से 66%अधिक होता है। शिमला ही राज्य का एक मात्र शहर है जहां पर होटल कंज्यूमर्स के लिए अलग से श्रेणी बनाकर सबसे अधिक पानी का रेट वसूला जाता है बाकी हिमाचल के सभी शहरों मैं होटल वालों से कमर्शियल रेट पर पानी उपलव्ध कराया जाता है।भारी भरकम होटल वाटर टैरिफ से ऊपर पानी के बिल की कुल राशि पर 30% सिवेराजे सेस लगा कर होटल व्यवसायियों को आर्थिक बोझ तले दबाया जा रहा है। होटलों को आर्थिक बोझ यही खत्म नहीं होता होटल एसोसिएशम के अध्यक्ष मोहिंदर सेठ ने कहा स्थानीय विधायक व मुख्यमंत्री के समक्ष इस मांग को रखा जाएगा की जल्द इस बढ़ोतरी को वापिस लिया जाए अन्यथा होटल की चाबीयां SJPNL को सौंपनी पड़ेगी. होटल कारोबारियो की वजह से हज़ारो लोगो को रोजगार मिलता है यदि इस तरफ सरकार ध्यान नहीं देती तो कारोबारी खत्म हो जाएगे और जिन लोगो को रोजगार मिल रहा उनका भी रोजगार छीन जाएगा।
