Maharashtra Election : महाराष्ट्र के कस्बा पेठ उपचुनाव में कांग्रेस के रवींद्र धांगेकर ने बीजेपी उम्मीदवार हेमंत रासने को 12,000 वोटों से हराकर जीत हासिल की. महाराष्ट्र के पुणे जिले की एक अन्य सीट के लिए भी मतगणना जारी है।भले ही चुनाव आयोग ने अभी अंतिम परिणाम घोषित नहीं किया है, कांग्रेस नेता नाना पटोले ने घोषणा की कि कस्बा पेठ में उनके उम्मीदवार जीत गए हैं। जीत का जश्न मनाने के लिए मतगणना केंद्र के बाहर कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता जमा हो गए।
कांग्रेस लगभग 28 वर्षों तक कस्बा पेठ निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में सत्ता में रही भाजपा को सत्ता से हटाने में कामयाब रही।भाजपा के विधायक मुक्ता तिलक (कस्बा) और लक्ष्मण जगताप (चिंचवाड़) की मृत्यु के बाद 26 फरवरी को मतदान हुआ था, जिसमें औसत मतदाता 50 प्रतिशत दर्ज किया गया था।ये पहले चुनाव थे जिन्होंने भाजपा और एकनाथ शिंदे के नेतृत्व वाली शिवसेना को कांग्रेस, राष्ट्रवादी राकांपा और उद्धव ठाकरे की शिवसेना के गठबंधन के खिलाफ खड़ा किया।
जैसा कि पुणे में कस्बा और चिंचवाड़ सीटों के उपचुनाव कांग्रेस गठबंधन के साथ-साथ राज्य में सत्तारूढ़ शिंदे-भाजपा गठबंधन के लिए प्रतिष्ठा का मुद्दा बन गए थे, एनसीपी अध्यक्ष शरद पवार, मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे और डिप्टी सीएम देवेंद्र फडणवीस जैसे बड़े नेता अपने-अपने प्रत्याशियों के लिए प्रचार किया।कांग्रेस ने अपने लोकसभा सदस्य गिरीश बापट, जो बीमार हैं, को चुनाव के दौरान प्रचार करने के लिए मजबूर करने के लिए भाजपा की आलोचना की थी।
