Sharad Purnima: अश्विन मास में शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा को शरद पूर्णिमा को रास पूर्णिमा के नाम से जाना जाता है। ज्योतिष शास्त्र के मुताबिक पूरे वर्ष में केवल इसी दिन चंद्रमा 16 कलाओं में होता है। इस दिन भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने यमुना नदी के तट पर मुरली वादन करते हुए गोपियों के साथ रास रचाया था। इस वर्ष यह पर्व 9 अक्टूबर 2022 को पड़ रहा हैं।
Sharad Purnima: इस तरह से करे उपवास
इस दिन सुबह स्नान करके आराध्य देव को सुंदर वस्त्रों, आभूषणों से सुशोभित करे। इसके बाद आसन, आचमन, वस्त्र, गंध, अक्षत, पुष्प, धूप, दीप, नैवेद्य, तांबूल, सुपारी, दक्षिणा आदि से पूजन करना चाहिए। इसके बाद को दूध से बनी खीर में चीनी मिलाकर रख देना चाहिए और अर्ध रात्रि को रसोई समेत भगवान को भोग लगाना चाहिए। रात्रि जागरण करके भगवान भजन करते हुए चांद की रोशनी में सुई में धागा पिरोना चाहिए।
पूर्ण चंद्रमा की चांदनी के मध्य खीर से थाली को रख देना चाहिए और दूसरे दिन उसका प्रसाद सबको देना चाहिए। रात्रि में ही कथा सुननी चाहिए और इसके लिए एक लोटे में जल रखकर पत्ते के दोने में गेहूं और रोली, अक्षत रखकर कलश का पूजन करें। गेहूं के 14 दाने हाथ में लेकर कथा सुने और लोटे के जल से रात में चंद्रमा को अर्ध्य देवे। जो लोग विवाह होने के बाद पूर्णिमा की व्रत का नियम शुरू कर रहे हैं, उन्हें शरद पूर्णिमा के दिन से ही व्रत करना प्रारंभ करना चाहिए।

एक साहूकार के दो पुत्रियां थी और दोनों ही पूर्णमासी का व्रत रखती थी। लेकिन बड़ी वाली पूरी विधि विधान को मानती थी। जबकि छोटी अधूरा व्रत ही करती थी। दोनों का विवाह हो गया और वे अपने अपने घर चली गई। बड़ी के कई संताने हुई किंतु छोटी वाली के ही संताने जन्म लेते ही मर जाती थी।
छोटी ने तमाम विद्वान पंडितों को बुला कर इसका कारण जानना चाहा और उन्हें अधूरी पूर्णिमा व्रत की बात बताई छोटी ने पूरे विधि विधान से पूर्णमासी का व्रत किया तो कुछ समय के बाद फिर उसे पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई। किंतु वह भी शीघ्र ही मर गया। इस पर उसने एक पाटे पर उसे लिटा कर कपड़ा औढ़ा दिया।
फिर बड़ी बहन को बुलाकर बैठने के लिए वही पाटा दिया। बड़ी बैठने की जा रही थी कि उसका घागरा पाटे से छुआ और बच्चा रोने लगा इस पर बड़ी ने क्रोधित होकर कहा कि तू मेरे ऊपर कलंक लगाना चाहती थी। मेरे बैठने से यह बच्चा मर जाता। तब छोटी ने पूरी बात बताई कि तेरे पुण्य और भाग्य से ही वह जी उठा है।
