इसके लिए वह रोज टीवी पर इंग्लिश प्रोग्राम देखती थी इंग्लिश नॉवेल्स पढ़ती थी. और बिना किसी शर्म के अंग्रेजी के टूटे-फूटे वाक्य बोलना शुरू कर दिया था. उनका कहना है कि व्यक्ति प्रयास करता रहे तो कोई भी चीज सीखी जा सकती है और अंत में उन्होंने इंजीनियरिंग की ओर टीसीएस में नौकरी करने लगी.
अपूर्वा यादव ने तीन साल टीसीएस में काम किया और इसी दौरान उन्हें अमेरिका जाने का मौका भी मिला और अमेरिका काम करते-करते ही उन्हें देश की सेवा करने का मन हुआ.तो उन्होंने सिविल सर्विस की तैयारी करनी शुरू कर दी और उन्होंने सिविल सर्विस की तैयारी के साथ ही उत्तर प्रदेश पीसीएस की तैयारी करना भी शुरू कर दिया.
अपूर्वा यादव इसमें तीन बार असफल रहीं. लेकिन चौथे प्रयास में उन्हें सफलता मिल गई. अपूर्वा ने उत्तर प्रदेश पीसीएस 2016 की परीक्षा में 13वीं रैंक हासिल की और वे मैनपुरी की पहली महिला SDM बन गईं. इस तरह उन्होंने अपने सपने को साकार किया और अपने परिवार व अपने इलाके का नाम रोशन किया।
